It is Christmas Eve at Clara’s house -- A large and grand house with a beautiful Christmas tree.  Clara, her mother and her brother are hosting their annual holiday party, welcoming the arrival of their family and friends.  The party grows festive as Clara and her guests dance together. After their dance Aunt Drosselmeyer arrives and brings fun food for the party (Cupcakes and Cornucopia) and a Centerpiece too. Eventually Aunt Drosselmeyer brings NUTS. The Children at the Party begin to argue over who will open it. As the children fight  over the container, they spill the nuts, and out comes one that is very different than all the others. It is the magical nut.

He is so much fun he gets everyone to dance with him. As the evening grows late the guests depart, leaving Clara, her mother and the NUT resting for the evening. Clara sneaks in to retrieve the nut, but the squirrels have entered to take the nut away. She tires looking for it and falls asleep.  Clara has a dream that the nuts and wind-up dolls have become her soldiers to fight the squirrels and get back her magical nut.

The NUT turns into a nice gentleman and takes Clara on a journey to the Land of Snow, an enchanted forest wonderland where they are welcomed by dancing snowflakes.

Clara’s gentleman companion escorts her to the Land of Dance where they are greeted with many more dancers – beyond her wildest imagination. The celebration includes dances of Russia, Jigue, Rhythm, Pointe, Ballet, Spanish, Dragon Dance, Jazz and Modern.

As a finale, the entire cast joins in dancing together.
